- Please check out the photos below to see the condition of the frame and gelcoat.
- This Boler has lived in Juneau, Alaska since we bought it in 2007 and has only been used occasionally since we did the reno in 2008.
- Our asking price is $10,750 CDN or $8,000 USD, including everything shown on this site. Our sale is “as is” with no guarantee about the condition.
- We will work with the buyer to make the best arrangement to get the Boler from Juneau to BC or the Pacific Northwest. Juneau isn’t connected to the North America road system, so it will need to be shipped to either Seattle, WA by an Alaska Marine Lines barge, or to Bellingham, WA or Haines or Skagway, AK on the Alaska Marine Highway ferry. The buyer should plan to pick it up on arrival.
- Like all Bolers of this vintage, this one needs a new frame. The original 1972 frame has cracked and has been welded in a couple of the common frame weak spots, and there’s considerable rust. We recommend Ross at R Turner Welding in Langley BC. We talked with Ross a couple of years ago about replacing the frame and fiberglassing in a new floor and we found him to be helpful and reasonable.
- We’re not offering the Boler for sale in Juneau as no one here has the knowledge and facility to replace the frame. To be absolutely safe, we require that the Boler be moved on a trailer until the frame can be repaired or replaced. We will ship it by barge or ferry on a trailer.
- The green gelcoat repairs don’t quite match the original gelcoat and there are some spider cracks in the gelcoat. There’s also some minor damage where the fiberglass meets the frame. The door has the familiar Boler door sag.
- The original three-way furnace and water tank have been removed. We relaced the furnace with a new propane furnace under the front bench. There’s space for a cooler (included) under the stove.
- There’s a battery box for a 12v house battery, as well as propane tank hold downs, on the tongue, but for safety we will remove the propane tank before shipping.
- We ran the interior lights, radio, furnace and fan on a 12v deep cycle marine battery from Costco. The battery isn’t set up to charge while driving, so we kept a trickle charger on the battery while it was parked.
